Joseph's coat

De vader gaf Jozef een mantel. Jozef is zijn"lieveling." Ik denk dat hij de vaderliefde, de Vader kent. Ik denk dat hij begrijpt waar het om gaat en hierin wil wandelen. Zijn broers begrijpen dit niet. Alleen moet Jozef nog veranderen. Als hij onderkoning wordt en een weg van verandering is gegaan, zie ik dat hij anders met zijn broers omgaat. Er is liefde, bewogenheid en zorg. Het verhaal van Jozef heeft mij altijd al enorm aangesproken. Nu nog meer, ik zie telkens een diepere dimensie in deze geschiedenis.

Deze quilt heb ik in 2005 gemaaakt, met veel kleuren, vandaar de naam.

Th e father gave Josef a coat. Jozef is his " darling." I think he knows what the father love is, that he kwows the Father. I think that he understands father love and wants to walk in this love. His brothers do not understand about this deeply love. But Josef isn't changed yet. When he becomes to work under the king Josegf is transformed. and changed. His relation changed with his brothers. There is love, emotion and care.

The story of Jozef has always been very special to me, but now even more. It has a deeper dimension

"Maak onderweg geen ruzie"

Er zit zo'n diepte in de geschiedenis van Jozef. Jozef heeft door de diepte geleerd en is veranderd. Hij gaat anders met zijn broers om. Er is liefde, zorg, bewogenheid en compassie.
De broers gaan terug naar huis, samen met Benjamin, en Jozef geeft ze deze woorden mee: :"MAAK ONDERWEG GEEN RUZIE." Het raakt mij heel diep, en het springt er zomaar uit.

Hoeveel ruzie zullen de broers met elkaar hebben gehad? Staan ze er nu anders in?

Hoe staat het mij? Maak ik ruzie met mijn broers en zussen?

Hoe sta ik erin als anderen er ïets"anders in staan?

Dit was de 2e opdracht van de 3 schilderslessen: de pyramides van Egypte. Wat kun ik daar nu mee? Uiteindelijk kom ik tot de ontdekking dat de Israelieten deze mee hebben gebouwd in de tijd van slavernij in Egypte.

There is such a deep understanding in the history of Josef. Josef has learned through the depth and has been changed. There's a change in the relationship with his brothers. There is love, care, emotion and compassion. When the brothers go back to their father, with Benjamin, Josef gives them these words : " DON'T QUERREL ON THE WAY." ( Gen.45:23) This touches me and just jumps out of the Word.

How many quarrel the brothers had with each other? Do they see it in another way now?

How do I stand in this? Do I make quarrel with my brothers and sisters?

This was my second task of 3 painters lesson: the pyramid of Egypt. Finally I discovered that the Israelites have been building these in the time of slavery in Egypt.

Het zal je maar gebeuren dat ..........

Het thema van 1 van de 3 schilders lessen is "Egypte." Mijn 1e gedachte is; wat kan ik daar nu mee? Ik geloof in die ene God, de God van Abraham, Isaak en Jacob. Als ik verder nadenk, leid het mij naar de geschiedenis van Jozef. Wie kent die verhalen niet? ..............................

Jozef, die een kleurige mantel krijgt van zijn vader.
Jozef en zijn dromen.
Jozef, die door zijn broers wordt verkocht als slaaf en in de gevangenis terecht komt.
Uiteindelijk komt Jozef in zijn bestemming en wordt hij onderkoning in Egypte.

Dit is een nageschilderd muurschildering van Jozef, geschilderd met acryl.

The theme of 1 of the 3 painters lessons is "Egypt." My first thought is, what can I do now? I believe in the one God, the God of Abraham, Isaak and Jacob. When I think about it, the story of Josef comes into my mind. Do you know the story?..............................

Through his brothers Josef is sold as a slave and works for Potifar . After that he ends in prison.

Finally he comes in his destination under the king of Egypt.

Korenschoven

Marinus Pieter Reus (1865-1938) heeft het doek "Korenschoven" geschilderd. Het doek raakte mij en inspireerde mij om het zelf te gaan schilderen.
Ik zie een prachtige lucht. De werkers doen mij denken aan de werkers van het laatste uur. De korenschoven aan de oogst.


Op de schilderslessen bij Barteljee is het onderwerp schilderijen uit het Dordrechts museum. In december mogen we exposeren wat we hebben gemaakt naar aanleiding van dit onderwerp. Mijn 1e ontwerp van dit schilderij heb ik met acryl op papier geschilderd. Het is de bedoeling dat het nu op doek komt, 50 x 60. Een uitdaging. Ik ben benieuwd hoe dit gaat worden. Het 1e begin is al gemaakt. Het eindresultaat komt tzt op mijn blog.

Marinus Pieter Reus, dutch painter (1865-1938) has painted: "Korenschoven". The painting inspired me to paint a copy of it by myself. I see a beautiful air. The workers on the field are like the workers of the last hour. The wheat the harvest, the gold for the Lord.

On the painting lesson the subject is paintings from the "Dordrechts" museum. In December, we may exhibit our works about this subject. My first design is the result on the top. I've painted this with acryl on paper. It is the intention that it I now paint on 50 x 60. A new challenge.
